Vessel Based Hull and Mooring Inspections.IE has been successfully carrying out ROV based hull and FPSO mooring inspections in association with a range of class societies since 2005. Deployed from any part of the vessel using our man-portable ROV deployment systems, our powerful inspection ROVs have earned a reputation for successfully operating in significant weather and currents. By implementing necessary controls, we have even inspected a semisub hull whilst the vessel was on DP.
Environmental Inspections
Whether you want a simple overview of a few key regions of a hull, seabed transects in up to 500msw or long term monitoring of shallow water reefs, IE has the capability to meet your requirements. By using our in house developed tools such as shallow water large offset ROV tracking, 15MP stills cameras and low cost hi-def video cameras we will deliver high quality, consistent data to meet your monitoring requirements.
Full Field Inspections
With a compact size, high power to weight ratio and active stabilisation, our V8 Sii ROV's provide a very productive, intimate and comprehensive inspection. The addition of our "Percussive CP Probe" allows fast, accurate contact CP measurements through coatings and hard marine growth. Providing Survey and Inspection Services as required, we can safely complete your inspection to a high standard with a surprisingly low footprint.
Shallow Water Inspections
Working from vessels down to 8m in length, we have a proven ability to carry out this work. With a 300m ROV excursion whilst maintaining sub-metre positioning, and an ability to work in water down to 0.3m deep, nearshore approaches and harbour sections are easily surveyed.
Rapid Response Inspections
With a total system weight ranging from 50 to 500kg, and no single item above 70kg, our systems are easily airfreighted and mobilised on a standard chopper. Our V8 ROV's can be on your site within hours. We have mobilised a system from Perth and been inspecting a wellhead in the Timor Sea within 24hrs. Support vessels have ranged from supply boats right down to a 6m RIB.
Underwater Cleaning
Using our ROV's with HP waterblasters and our own cleaning heads we have successfully cleared seachests and other subsea assets of heavy marine growth.
We can presently achieve a rate of about 1sqm/minute, and use pressures of up to 1000bar.

ROV Asset ManagementWe have been managing client owned ROV's since 2005. We are so passionate about our maintenance that we have become a factory authorised service agent for our own ROVs. We can therefore provide a professional and comprehensive package including task assessment, equipment selection, safety, personnel training, operational procedures, maintenance and of course provision of skilled personnel as required.
